I'm honoured to have had guests working in my studio from the Netherlands but also from Germany, Poland, China, Hong Kong and even New Zealand. ABOUT
Emil Klein Custom Tattooing is a tattoo studio based in the city center of Groningen, the Netherlands. My goal is to connect with talented tattoo artists around the world to build connections, share skills/art thoughts, and promote each other.
PRICING
I offer the standard 70/30 split and kindly ask you to provide 30% of your daily income. This helps cover the costs of space, supplies, etc.
BOOKINGS & PROMOTIONS
All artists and guest artists in my studio communicate and arrange bookings themselves. This means that if I receive questions from interested customers while promoting your arrival, I will pass this on and refer the customer to you. It is best to discuss the tattoo with the customer about what is possible.
Also because our tattoo styles may differ. I highly recommend collecting a deposit to protect yourself from any cancellations.
I will promote your work by sharing IG posts and stories before your arrival and I'd like you to do the same to help provide additional exposure. We can update followers of your work during/after your tattoo sessions.
SHOP HOURS
At the time of writing I have the studio open Monday to Saturday from 10am to 6pm. On those days we work together. If you can book customers on Sundays or weekday evenings, that is also possible, but you will have the fort to yourself.
BEDS, CHAIRS & SUPPLIES
My studio has 1 electric hydraulic power tattoo bed, 1 massage table, and several arm rests. This might have changed when you arrive, since I'm trying to upgrade the work area.
Guest artsist brings: tattoo machine, power supply, needle / tubes or cartridges, ink & other uncommon / personal tools or supplies.
All disposable supplies are provided by the shop. Including: wrapping film, green soap, alcohol, (distilled) water, ink cups, vaseline, basic black ink (Black Dynamite by Dynamic / Black Gold by Panthera), gloves, wipes & extra lighting when necessary. You can use some of my ink if it fits your project.
I have 1 Samsung black/grey laser printer and an A4 Thermal Imager for stencil printing. I also provide stencil paper for hand stenciling.
SLEEPING ACCOMODATIONS
Unfortunatly I don't have a place for you to stay/sleep. You have to find a Hotel, Hostel or cheap AirBNB yourself or I can try to help you with that.
PARKING
Best option is to park your car at Parkeergarage Damsterdiep (Damsterplein 5, 9711 SX Groningen). Just a 2 minute walk to the studio.
LAST BUT NOT LEAST
The first impression people experience in my studio is peace. The atmosphere is relaxed and I would like to keep it that way. If you are used to working with loud music, I suggest bringing your own headphones.
